A traffic stop followed several complaints of vehicles driving through the Borough blaring excessively loud music at late hours.
On April 15 at approximately midnight, while patrolling, an officer discovered a vehicle driving down Monmouth Road playing music so loud it shook his patrol vehicle.
After conducting a motor vehicle stop, it was discovered this truck had a stereo system equipped with 28 speakers, 25 subwoofers and several amplifiers, police said.
Although suitable for its intended use at car shows and events, blasting music through this system late at night is completely inappropriate and illegal, police said.
